MITECH RZT renovation render is a factory prepared, dry mix of special pozzolana cements and selected aggregates, resistant to sulphates. It contains aerating, hydrophobising and adhesion-boosting admixtures. It is ready-to-use after mixing with water. After adding and mixing with water a grey coloured render mortar is obtained, featuring perfect plasticity, easy to apply on vertical surfaces and ceilings. The mortar is intended for applying hydrophobic, vapour-permeable renovation (repair) renders suitable for drying walls susceptible to capillary water rising and protecting against efflorescences and moulds. The capillary system in the set mortar is neutralised by the hydrophobic properties of renovation render, which blocks the capillary rise of water both from the air to the wall and back. Therefore the render remains dry. At the same time, the high porosity of render makes it easier for damp to get out from the wall in the form of steam. The process of drying the damped wall as a result of the capillary rise of water is as follows: porous render/plaster attracts damp from the wall. The damp evaporates on the border wall-render/plaster and in the form of steam quickly emigrates through the render/plasterwork to the outside. At the same time the hydrophobic properties of the render/plasterwork blocks the inflow of water to the wall e.g. from rain. When the wall contains water soluble salts the render/plasterwork blocks the phenomenon of efflorescences, because it moves the salt-containing water evaporation zone to the inside of the wall or render/plaster. It prevents saline crystallisation (efflorescences) on the render/plasterwork surface. High hydrophobic properties and permeability to water vapour makes the renovation render especially recommended for external use in zones close to the floor in old buildings preventing damp rise and efflorescences, façade, resistant to water jets brought by strong wind and frosting/defrosting cycles, internal in underground buildings storeys exposed to the capillary rise of water, and as internal plaster reducing the occurrence of condensation and protecting against the growth of bacteria, moulds, lichens, algae, etc. NOTE! The render/plaster is not suitable for use with permanent contact with the ground and stationary as well as floating water as barrier/stopper against this water or water under pressure or infiltration (that’s why it is not suitable as a plaster/render for foundations).
